HOW DO ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS WORK?
Anti wrinkle injections are purified proteins. When injected into muscles it blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscle. Therefore, the injected muscle can’t contract. The overlying skin smooths out.
HOW LONG DO ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS LAST?
It varies from patient to patient, for most patients it last approximately 4 months.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS TO START WORKING?
You will notice a difference in about 4 days. The maximum effect happens at 2 weeks. For those preparing for an upcoming special occasion, we advise that you schedule your anti-wrinkle appointment at least two weeks before the event to allow the treatment to show its best results.
WHAT ARE RISKS FOR ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
Generally they are very safe. Bruising can happen but it is very rare and does resolve very quickly. Sometimes, the upper eyelid can be a bit droopy but again this is very rare and does resolve.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO BEFORE ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
Cleanse your face and take your make up off before coming in. Do not take any blood thinning medications like Nurofen or aspirin 24-48 hours prior.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AFTER ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
Sit upright for 4 hours. Do not massage face for first 24 hours. Avoid exercise, caffeine and alcohol for 6 hours after treatmen
